Paris. Here they were again. But this time he didn't practically have to force her to come. This time she didn't have to pretend to like him. This time? It was completely different. They were in love, and Leda was pregnant, and things were better than he had ever imagined. Of course, he knew that they would still have struggles down the road. What kind of relationship would it be if they didn't? But for now? They were content. He was content. And Paris? Bringing her here--it was extravagant. He could've brought her somewhere closer for a vacation before the baby was born.
But Paris was special. Not just because it was, you know, "the city of love", but because he fell in love with her here. It was here, in this beautiful city, where he had realized that she was all he ever wanted. Where he realized that he'd make her his wife if he died trying. And bringing her back here? He was going to do exactly that. Or well, he'd ask her, anyway. And he prayed to god that she'd say yes.
The sun was setting in the distance, and the two had just finished dinner. They walked along the lover's bridge, hand in hand, and Blake let out a content sigh. "Hey--" He chuckled, "Remember the last time we were here and I locked a lock with our names on it on this bridge? How long do you think it would take to find it?"
