I'm definitely back at my interests taking turns like they used to.
I've been playing Tomb Raider 3 for a week, now finally that is wearing off and I have started to replace that with my very old Jackass hyperfixation. There's a new Jackass film coming out this summer and I'm very much looking forward to that, and now magically my brain has been more or less hyperfixating on old Jackass stuff. They keep popping up on my youtube recommended, and now I have started to feel like I need to rewatch the TV show and all the related films and other tv shows for the umpteenth time. I have all of those on DVDs anyway, that would be great as I also need something to get myself motivated with my exercise bike and I need something that I'd watch daily, and Jackass would work perfectly with that since there's so much to watch through.
Now I just need to figure out how to control my TV, iirc the remote stopped working a while back and doesn't work even with new batteries, and I'm neurotic with the volume of things. It'd be ideal if I could use headphones, but my TV is too old and doesn't have bluetooth (and neither do the bluray), so I'd need to be able to have a remote in my hand at all times so that I can control the volume at all times. I do have an external DVD drive that I could use with my laptop but it's exremely slow AND loud so I'd rather not use it, but probably will have to if I can't get the TV remote to work.
Anyhow, I saw the new The Dudesons film today. That's also what had made my Jackass hyperfixation to peek again, even tho I watched Jackass a few years before I started watching The Dudesons and in a way Jackass is still more important to me. Or, more nostalgic. I'd watch that (and Viva La Bam) at night from MTV when I was like 14-15, then regretting that in the morning when I was constantly about to fall asleep in class. But it was on TV probably every night and it was probably some sort of a comfort show to me during those tough years at school.
But yeah, welcome back, Jackass hyperfixation :D I don't understand how is it already such a long time since Jackass Forever was released. I saw that in a movie theater as well, and it literally is one of the funniest films I have ever seen. It was an insane exprience in the movie theater cos EVERYONE was laughing so much. Normally here everyone is so silent and doesn't want to interact with others, but that film had everyone nearly cry-laughing at the movie theater and that was so much fun. Kinda had a similar experience with the new Dudesons film today, some bits were actually hilarious and people were laughing out loud, but not nearly as much as what it was like with Jackass Forever. I hope the next Jackass film is just as funny, I feel like they're kinda still connecting us millennials who watched the shows and films as teens even if we wouldn't personally know each other.
(You're right, I'm feeling a bit nostalgic too. I definitely need to get out my Jackass etc. dvds and go through all of them again soon!)
