“Mawtin! Are ducks good at ski?”

Martin was startled out of his reading “Huh?”

“Because for ski you need ski.” Douglas looked slightly confused at his word choice but continued “But duck feet are ready funny looking”

“And how would they hold the sticks?”

“Why do ski need sticks?”

“Uh. For balance I guess”

“But ducks can fly and wings can balance better than arms!”

“Then maybe they are really good at ski. Too good to compete with humans”

When Douglas jumped into Martin’s arms Martin let himself fall backwards so he was lying on his back in the snow. Douglas giggled and started chanting “Angel angel” making the movements on top of Martin. So Martin obliged the boy’s wish and made a snow angel.

Martin had forgotten playing in the snow was so much fun. All he ever remembered was the snow in his clothes that slowly melted on the way home after Simon’s friends decided to ‘play’ with him.

But now playing with Douglas was a lot of fun. There were no overly hard snowballs and while his trousers were slowly becoming wet it was his own fault.

As soon as Martin stopped moving his limbs Douglas jumped off him and tried his own snow angel. It wasn’t as defined as Martin’s because he wriggled too much but it was a snow angel.

By the time Martin managed to get a squirming Douglas still enough to put on his Wellies, coat, gloves, scarf, and hat, it was nearly lunchtime.  But he had promised they’d make a snow duck in an hour, and Douglas was a stickler for keeping track of such things (now that he’d learned to tell time properly on the new watch Arthur had given him for his birthday).  When he saw Douglas disappear into a drift of snow with a delighted shout, Martin had to admit that it was a bit adorable.

I was taggged by @linguini17. Arthur sayd it’s polite to answer questions but never say tooo much or personal! And I like Linugini because she is always nice and likes Duks tooo!

Nicknames: Martin calls me litttle Duk! I like that! Arthur calls me Duky sometimes that’s nice tooo!

Gender: DUK! I’m a boy duk!

If you had a cat, what would you name it?: Sheshire! But only if cat is pink. But Duks don’t like cats so I don’t want cat

Height: 51,5 inches! Martin messsured me last week!

Hogwarts house: I don’t know. Martin says I’m tooo little for the movies and I can’t read enough yet. I tryd the boook but it’s hard and heavy

Favorite color: The green changy colour some duks have!

Time right now: 13 o’clock 10! Arthur teached me Martin time!

Lucky number: 19! Arthur sayd it’s important to remember that number and that it saved the day before!

last thing I Googled: I’m not alllowed to gooogle unsuperwise! because there are bad things. I just ask Martin or Arthur if I want to know things!

Fictional character you would want as a younger sibling: Huy, Dooy, and Louy from Disney!

Number of blankets I sleep with: I have a cover blanket and a cuddle blanket. And in winter Martin gives me a fluff blanket for warms!

Favorite band or artist: I don’t know. I like lots of music I have a whole CD with songs!

Dream vacation: JUMP in the duk pont!

What I’m wearing right now: My duk pyjamas. It’s sunday I don’t want trousers!

When did I make this blog: looooong time ago when I found tumblr!

How many blogs do I follow: I follow duks. but playing with blogs is nice tooo! I also folllow Martin and he says I need to folllow what Arthur and Carolin say tooo

Do you get asks on a regular basis: no. but people send me duk things by saying my name! this is brilllliant.

When did your blog reach its peak: there is no peak in duks! duks are always on top!

What made you get a tumblr:  Duks!

Why did you choose your url: because they are.

The sky above was a mix of shades of grey. The rain had been pouring down for days now and almost no one left their house when it wasn’t necessary since the temperatures were dropping as rapidly as the raindrops. Autumn was really here.

Martin loved the turn of the seasons. The influx of colours and the cooler temperature. Bundling up in warm sweaters with hot drinks.

But Douglas had other plans. He wanted to go out to the park every day. Martin never said no, knew exercising and learning was important, but dressing Douglas and himself in full rain clothes all the time wasn’t his favourite pass time. Especially when Douglas managed to get water into his boots every time despite wearing waterproof trousers too, which meant he needed to get them dry again every time. Sometimes this involved blow drying them after Douglas had gone to bed.
