Duck 126 - Wilma
Wilma - sweet, quiet, and unassuming, was one of my lady Grey Calls (and the Flintstone pair). One of my vivid memories with her was actually when I accidentally mistook her for one of her daughters. I felt terrible! It was my second to last year at the California State Fair, and she did very well. I had just hatched about 30 other Call ducklings that spring and summer, and thought that Wilma was one of them.
It wasn't until a few days later that I realized I made a mistake! I was appalled that I was guilty of that. In my defense, I did have over 60 ducks to tell apart... Still, that was dreadfully embarrassing. I am quite thankful that unlike me, God always knows His own, no matter how many He has, He knows and can tell us all apart. He won't ever make that mistake, He loves us precisely for who we are, with our differences, personalities and cares, which is a comforting thought indeed!
