There was little to no background music which I absolutely adored. You could hear each and every word so clearly, and with Duang doing that raspy ass voice of his, it just set the moment right. This was the moment one could realise that something had shifted. This entire scene was proof of that.

I know a lot of people feel that the way this episode ended was very out of character for both of them, but I think it was anything but that.

It was actually so in character of them, that I was actually surprised. This was very accurate to how they are in the novel, with Qinn setting the pace for most of the things in their relationship. And the best part is, Duang understands the importance of letting Qinn set the pace and he is okay with it.

From the beginning of the show, it was clear that Qinn is not someone who takes the matters of the heart lightly.

The best example of that was that Qinn had said he would've rejected Duang the moment he approached him had he come to him with the intention of winning his heart by becoming his friend first. Qinn is very clear with his boundaries of what his relation to every person in his life is.

Duang is hyper, wears his heart on his sleeve, but boy does he know how to read the room. Duang respects the space he is in, which is one of the best qualities of his character. He doesn't overreact when he knows it's not the time, he knows when the people around him are uncomfortable and he knows how to make a conversation easier. Sure, he is sometimes a bit off, like when he couldn't realise that Yim had feelings for him, but that was solely because he was focused on Qinn and did not realise Yim's approach.

He knew Qinn accepting his feelings was a big deal, he knew Qinn giving a verbal confirmation of his feelings meant something, and he knew that this wasn't the time to be his usual hyper self.

The best thing about Duang's character is that he not only complements Qinn's character, but also understands him as a person.

Special effort also goes to both Duang and Qinn's friends who are such genuine people and only want the good of the others around them.

Duang isn't a kid who doesn't understand where his boundaries lie, in fact, he is a lot more mature than Qinn sometimes. It is kind of in focus in the novel too, but maybe that was just how I felt.

The most interesting part of their dynamic to me is that Duang is comfortable enough around Qinn to be his serious, caring self, and Qinn is comfortable enough around Duang that he acts a little childish and clingy. Which are both things completely opposed to the emotions they show to the outside world.

Qin: Babe, are you.. coming to bed?

Duang: No thank you, I’m sure you’re lovely but I have a boyfriend

Duang: *Lies on the ground and falls asleep*

Um, I hate to break it to you, but all of your friends are-

me: 'omg they're so cute'

*duang and qin getting their freak on*
