Drygate’s Disco Fork Lift Truck Pale Ale (Picked up at a Sainsbury’s in London). A 2 of 4. Smells of quite a lot of biscuit malt sweetness and a touch of tropical fruit. Much the same in the body, with this on the sweet side of things without a ton of bitterness or booze to cut through it. Finish dry and clean, but not as aggressively fruity as you might expect.

Drygate’s Gladeye IPA (Picked up at a Sainsbury’s in Edinburgh). A 2 of 4. Smells of some caramel malt sweetness and jus ta touch of citrus. A decent bit more of citrus hop notes in the body, and some nice round malt sweetness in the middle. Finishes dry, but not that bitter, and quite easy-drinking.

Drygate Ax Man Rye IPA (Picked up at Sainsbury’s in Edinburgh). A 3 of 4. Smells sweet with caramel and some roasty qualities as well as the requisite rye spiciness. Similar in the body, and has some faint earthy/herbal hop notes alongside the continued rye qualities. Finish firmly bitter and tastes bigger than you’d expect for the style.
