I keep coming back to the Raise up your Bat lyrics after finishing the weird route. Specifically the bridge
"Come follow me into the Dark with your heart as the ark which will shine you the way
Because I'm with you in the dark with your heart as my mark which shall guide you the way, through the waves"
Like. That is literally what's happening at the end of the WR right? Noelle and Kris are using the Heart (Soul) as an Ark (a vehicle to protect them? move them? keep them going) across the lake through the waves.
Saw a "The WR makes the Knight" theory. It explains why the Dark world for both Kris and the Knight are so similar.
Other things I also have been thinking about a lot: Onionsan. Goner!Bird (or Normalnpc) totally cooked and served Onion at the festival. And then the booth is empty during the Weird Route?
Do they still serve Onion if you don't talk to Onion or drive him away? Toby sure has made this game's replayability SKY HIGH that's for sure.
I feel like I need to play all sorts of routes. I know WR marks you game save permanently akin to Geno Undertale. Just... wild stuff.
