It's been told that once Terence McKenna convinced a famous, important (but never disclosed) tibetan lama to try DMT. What he said afterward is that beyond that point, the one that you see from that state, there's no return. You're watching over the edge. I like to believe that what that lama saw was scored by something like the hideous, mesmerising and disquieting music by Lhasa-based artist Drwa, a mysterious ambient project showing that even dzogchen culture can be eldritch and creepy, the kind of weirdness that makes you feel like something devastating is going to happen suddenly at any moment and your spine is costantly giving you chills of alert. Beyond the ritualistic, deeply poignant mood of the only song available in the 'net, I wasn't able to find anything more about Drwa (except for a confusing russian link) and this lack of explaining and information about it and its origin make it even more intruiguing and fascinating. p.s.: yes, I believe Tibet should be an independent state, and not a chinese province, because I think that contemporary history shouldn't be defined by invasions.
