Iruka mumbled something incoherent, and let his head fall to his arms on the bar counter. But after a moment, a hand reached out and took hold of Kakashiās hand. āBastard.ā
Kakashi huffed softly, and relished in the swarming warmth brought by his drink. It wasn't uncommon--in fact, it happened often enough when Kakashi attempted to mingle with people; He was never meant for gentle, thoughtful interactions and they often ended with one or more parties angry with his very existence. It was often better to avoid them, to avoid any attempt of meshing with them.
Yet there was Iruka, the anomaly, the last tether Kakashi couldn't make sense of. And despite his best efforts, the Copy-ninja could not keep himself from angering his significant other. His lips broke as he sighed, resting his glass back down upon the bar surface in time to notice Iruka had taken his hand, and whether or not the gesture had been meant as a silent form of acceptance, or action to steady his body from falling off his stool remained a mystery shrouded in Iruka's drunken state.
Whatever the reason, Kakashi returned the hold with a light, lingering smile.
"Oi, you alright over there?"
