i'm gonna cheat a bit and give you multiple duo's here because i can't not do it.

first up: you can't have @angelrisen without @eldestbrcther. so far, i've been having a blast rp'ing with both and snooping on the threads that i haven't been a part of, necessarily. it's just fun to read all of the situations they throw both of those characters into - seperately but definitely together - because they've opened my eyes to a dynamic that i previously didn't pay all that much attention to. but i do now. well, to their specific version, that is - it's the only version of that dynamic i need.

"hold my hand," is the first thing she blurts out, gently taking bonnie's hands into her own. "human contact basically makes the body go oxytocin, yay! and cortisol, boo! so that's a good thing, and you can never have too much of a good thing."

nearly black irises blink one.. twice before he forces his chest to expand and release. as if he was breathing. as if— he were alive. indeed, he was not. her pulse tugs something inside him. in all of his time, no one had achieved such a feat. her question — right. he opens his mouth gently, shaking his head. “no. are you afraid of me?”

"quoting monthy python and the holy grail is not gonna get you out of this, though i give you cool points for trying." though the question is: was the reference deliberate or not? either way, cool points. for trying.

she's already rummaging around in the inner pocket of her jacket and then she extracts a vial with a triumphant sound, a pleased little 'aha!' and holds it out to bonnie, saying: "bottom's up, miss bonnie may. it's a healing tincture and i have it on good authority that it works and that it tastes like cinnamon."

though deanna kennedy hadn't realized what it was, of course, but still.

indeed, floribeth says - mostly to distract bonnie from her flesh wound - she cannot do magic like her maternal family members can, but she can brew a mean potion.

she finds she's not only enjoying the process of brewing such things immensely but also finds that it helps her feel closer to her relatives - to everyone she misses; her mom, her aunts, even her grandma.

and sure, sure, she could have torn open her wrist, have bonnie drink from her - just enough to heal the flesh wound - but that is, as are all things, choices that bonnie needs to make.
