Fender Deluxe Reverb reissue (mid-90s).
This one had a shorted power tube, which blew the fuse. No big deal, but as with virtually all Fender combos, the 470-ohm screen resistors were only 2W parts and burned (replacements highlighted in red above). Supposedly, Fender deliberately undersizes the screen resistors so that they act like fuses in the event of a power tube short -- because they don’t equip their amps with a B+ fuse like Marshall does. Unlike a fuse, though, you have to pay your tech to remove the mainboard and replace the resistors if they burn when the power tubes blow. I usually replace them with 5W parts (as used in Marshalls).
