This year I accidentally found this French animation from my local TV network. In short this is story about buntch of kids/teens who racing with they droners to win the race and get to be students of professor White Whale. Some of the drones are powered by artificially made lifeforms called "spirits" that boost drones abilities. Series is mostly episodic but has bigger plot behind curtains. Whole world is basicly post-apocalypse earth where most of the planet is under water and people live on the islands that I assume might me mountain tops. Main characters island is about to sink in the oceaon so they reason to win is to get help from professor to prevent that. Other teams are also pretty interesting and that is important this kinda "racing" series that rivals are not just assholes without they own reasons or dreams. Obviosly this is mainly targeted for kids but I would say this is more like "Family show". By that I mean even parents or adults without kids can enjoy this. Creators also are aware some of pop culture stuff because Team Pirates style is pretty much referencing Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann -anime's main trio.
