Oooh. Tough one. John Constantine/Kit Ryan. Followed closely by Harley/Ivy

26. Who’s your favorite batgirl?

Cassandra Cain, because my love for her is boundless. I’m deeply touched by the relationship she has with Bruce. And just watching her grow through her run in Batgirl is one of my favorite character arcs in comics. 

Also, because Stephanie Brown will always be Robin to me. And my favorite Babs is as Oracle. 

32. Who do you think is the most overused or overrated characters?

The following salt is completely personal taste and not value judgement. 

Overused:

Bruce Wayne Is The Real Mask, not a character but it happens enough to drive me up a wall. This is the most boring interpretation and needs to stop. 

The Bat-family isn’t happy. Once again a theme. but seriously this is JUST DUMB. Like every fucking writer since the 80′s has this burning need to make it some kind of broken-home thing, especially for dick grayson, and i’m just???? why?????  i’m very happy that thus far, rebirth seems to be giving this a finger in Detective Comics

A Batman who punches things more than he solves mysteries. Look. I love me some punchy Batman. It’s a distinct fucking highlight. But if I wanted to watch someone punch their problems I’d go watch Green Arrow. There should be at least a 2:1 Mystery Solving:Punching ratio at any given time.

Everyone John Constantine Knows Dies. The product of a lot of people relyin on the rep of than the actual early Hellblazer. It is not actually that high of a body count, it’s that they were all emotionally meaningful and resonated. You can’t replace that with dumptrucks of bodies. *glares at Constantine-the-Comic* 

honestly i can’t think of any overused character, a character is never overused, only badly written.

To cross the aisle; Marvel movies making me fall in love with characters who AREN’T LIKE THAT IN THE GODDAMN COMICS HOLY SHIT. YOU CAN’T TEASE ME LIKE THAT.  

Overrated:

Superman. I know, I know okay. I just. I profoundly do not care. I get people like having a happy moral guy around, but literally everyone around him is more interesting than him. I don’t get it, I am genetically incapable of getting it. I want the entire series to be about Lois Lane fighting Lex Luthor. Which, btw, in like the past two years I’ve greatly come to appreciate Lois. I love her. 

Hush-  He wasn’t???? That good???? Neither was the book???? I just????? Can we stop acting like it was??? Just because Catwoman had some great panels doesn’t make the book good. 

Frank Miller’s TDK. Once again. A few good things (holla carrie) does not a great book make ffs. 

The Killing Joke  ISN’T EVEN GOOD HOLY SHIT

Transmetropolitan. I mean i enjoyed it, but it wasn’t clever, just rude. Let’s stop pretending it was Great Art. 

Birds of Prey. I just don’t like it. I keep getting reccomended it in every comic-venue i go to, based on what I read, and people react with So Much Shock when I say I tried it and I didn’t enjoy it. 

Can we all agree to stop collectively sucking Alan Moore’s dick? 

john constantine not being able to swear- if you’re relying on that to make it darker, you’re just bad at your fucking job okay. would i like john to swear on page, uncensored? absolutely. is it crippling to the realism of the character and prevents any dark themes? fucking puh-lease. 

Hi!!!!!! I'm halfway through Small Favor as we speak and I'm really enjoying the prose in this one. Every volume seems to improve upon itself as Harry's relationships deepen and his dominoes tippeth over, etc etc. My favorite characters besides Harry are probably the Carpenters, Sanya, Thomas, Marcone, and the Archive (NEED to see my baby more often)! My favorite side characters are probably the werewolves. Mouse is his own category. Bob is a menace to society but he does make me laugh sometimes.

Not sure if I have a fave book yet, but this series had me hooked from the moment Harry whipped a head full of shampoo into his face while running away screaming from a frog demon, buttass naked, on his terrible first date with Susan. I was locked in by the time he has his horrible, no-good, very bad week in Fool Night and cries his heart out in Susan's arms post-Burger King drivethru run.

There's been so many lose your cool moments so far. Harry wearing the cursed wolf belt. Charity getting kidnapped by a Harry impersonator while PREGNANT. Harry, Michael, and Marcone duking it out, swords and guns drawn, against the Denarians. Harry giving Marcone the Shroud of Turin to try to undo his gravest sin. The Thomas reveal. The Molly reveal and her rescue from Arctis Tor. The entirety of White Knight was a complete rollercoaster: the buildup, the throwdown with the White Court with Murphy and Marcone mauling vampires with machine guns, leading up to Lashiel's sacrifice and the tender moment of her when Harry realizes she's left him the ability to play guitar so beautifully in his mourning.

I could go on and on, but I think these books have done an amazing job making Harry a frustrating, compelling, and evolving main character. His relationships genuinely change over time and he in turn is changed. The stakes are always high but it never feels stale. I just finished the scene where Harry and Thomas rescue Gard (whose GUTS were literally falling out) and Hendricks (who might be in love with her??? I'm squeaking??) from Denarians, and I'm practically giddy at the idea of Harry having to rescue a resigned Marcone from a bunch of demonic freaks.

I’m a big fan of a general art + fandom specific tags. That way you have the option of looking through all the art or just a specific fandom.

what are your commission rates?

Haha! I’m actually not open for commissions right now because I have a line up of freelance I need to finish up first. Otherwise I’d draw you all the Yondu you’d pay me to draw. Maybe in a couple months haha

Part of me is tempted bc my guinea pig has tumor removal surgery coming up and the vet bill is estimated to be $1400 - $1800 and I am not looking forward to that.
