Dressember Day 18 ☀️ Just doing some detail work on my portrait of the sun 😉 My French tutor from high school reached out to me yesterday, so I was inspired to be a French artist for my pic to fight modern day slavery today!!! Fighting slavery means getting creative! Because I reached (and passed!) this year’s fundraising goal, I got my hair cut in a style that friends voted on! For our final Dressember 👗 post we take you to downtown Santa Cruz where after Christmas discounts abound and people like Susan are busy ordering glasses with medical benefits that will disappear if not used by the end of the year. EyeQ (where Susan is pictured on the left in her classic shirt dress, boots and sweater) is exception for carrying ethically made eyewear produced by small businesses. When she had her exam a few weeks earlier she discussed her reverse advent social media activities of doing good to feel good. Their tip for doing good was to be a kinder, more patient driver, to wait for others and give them more margin while driving or parking. As Susan passed by Pacific Trading Company on her way to select new glasses, she spied this awesome sign inviting shoppers to look 👀 closer at how a given product was produced.
