Hope roosevelt they/them: I've posted some art of them before, and theyre the 'main character' of this whole thing. Theyre a Heir of Hope, but despite how positive that classpect sounds they end up being the cause of majority of the conflict in the story. They might also maybe potentially Hoped sburb into existence and thus being kinda literally responsible for the end of the world. Their personality is on the outside pretty stoic, and they want to appear as logical, but on the inside they are firmly controlled by their emotions and their inability to let go of the past.

Hope likes Homestuck. The actual webcomic of homestuck. They first read it as a very young child and despite probably not having the best grasp on the deeper themes or motifs of the story, still hold the story close to their heart. They like cosplay and drawing, they draw a lot of self insert fanart but they also like to daydream up their own original characters. Their favorite colour is a warm yellow and they like calm lo-fi music and play it 24/7 when in their room. (which is most of the time) They spend a lot of time on tumblr, just engaging in fandom activites, but they also frequent chatrooms dedicated to their interests.

Their 'quest' is to let go of the past, and things that are out of their control. To stop denying the truth of reality and face their actions and the consequences.

Kit donovan he/they: also a guy ive posted art of when i first made him. he's the antithesis of Hope. He is the Seer of Rage, yet he plays a role of "saviour" in the story. They are morally grey, but they detest lies or what they see as unreal. In this case it is Hope's whole fucking complex. Kit outwardly appears very chipper, to the point of creepiness as he often laughs in the face of upsetting events or violence if he isn't the cause of it in the first place. Though on the inside they have a very hard time understanding themselves or their emotions, much less the emotions of others. In the face of not being able to handle their Rage, they are often known to be violent or cruel.

Kit likes to collect the roadkill that shows up in his nearest highway, he doesn't have much of an interest for taxidermy or preserving them, mostly he just pokes at the corpses because he finds them interesting. Due to living in the woods with their Mom, Kit knows how to use an axe pretty well, but he also likes axethrowing as an hobby in his free time. His favorite colour is neon green and he mostly listens to whatevers on the radio, though he sometimes picks up shitty indie CD's at garage sales. He often lurks in chatrooms or image board sites, usually spending the little time he does include himself in conversations trolling and ragebaiting people for fun, when that gets boring he likes to play shitty browser games or make nonsensical memes.

His 'quest' is to understand himself. To understand their Rage and the rage of others around them. And how to properly handle those emotions, or even weponize them when their friends need it.

Casimir "Cas" Mróz he/him: Cas is Kit's best friend. He is a pretty paranoid kid who often goes on rants about the end of the world, or death, or destruction or- because of this and his overall pessimistic attitude he doesn't have a lot of friends besides Kit. (Cas the nihlist VS Kit the existentialist.) This is because he is the Seer of Doom and is right in his predictions about the world's end. In his paranoia to understand Doom, Cas seeks it out purposefully. He speculates on apocalypses and end-of-the-world scenarios, and will go out of his way to inflict harm on himself to see more clearly. He sees the future in his blood, and uses that to his full advantage despite the physical harm this causes him. To him knowing and understanding Doom is what's important.

Cas likes gothic literature, and is facinated by dark romanticism. He is however also very pretentious about his interests and what you'd call a 'poser' in some ways. He is a teenager who beliefs himself to be very smart and unique in his angst, and while he does have a deeper understanding of the topic than others his age, he is still overshooting his briliance by quite a lot. He mainly listens to Goth rock, but also does have a liking for some metal when he's in the mood. He is the type of person to own and collect vinyls. He mostly dresses in black or dark clothing, but he is fond of both blue and red. Cas frequents a lot of music forums, but also once in a while visitng image boards where he usually gets shit on for being an smartass with other users about. He has an tumblr account which is uses exclusivley to post and reblog aesthetic images or quotes.

His 'quest' is to understand Doom and its inevitability, but it is also understanding what things are important to quide from that doom away from, he will have to understand that their situation is doomed, but that there is still things he can do to help himself and most importantly his friends. That things aren't Hopeless even if he know how it will all end.

(note: cas is trans because he was originally designed as a girl, but I changed my mind so now hes ftm)

Tanner Hartley he/him: Tanner plays the role of 'healer' as the Maid of Light. He starts off as goody two shoes, believing and obeying the things the adults in his life tell him to believe and to do, especially his Mother. This makes him pretty arrogant and narrow minded, often parroting the things his Mother believes in despite knowing in some level that a lot of it is untrue. He however has his friends, in particular Ketuna, who he only knows as 'GM', this friendship he shares with her, one that his family doesn't approve of, is the thing that makes him decide to start thinking for himself. He chooses to seek out the truth and also help others find it like he did.

Tanner likes hobbyhorses. He also likes regular horses, but is quite afraid of getting close to them, so he tends to admire the beasts from afar and play make belief with the safer option. He however greatly enjoys tabletop games, especially ones to do with chance and strategy. He and GM are known for having a shared love for disney movies.

Tanners 'quest' is to gain independence and seek out his own answers and truths. It is also to help others find that as well, while Kit destroys lies and makebelief, crushing it from the ground up with reality, Tanner uses his Knowladge and also Luck to start building up from that rubble. Repairing the relationships that have been cut and bruised in the chaos of doom.

Ketuna "GM" Merzlu she/they: Ketuna, known only by 'GM' online is not a troll. She is not a real person at all. Ketuna is Hope's old imaginary friend who became real with Hope's powers. Despite being an extension of Hope in a way, Ketuna dissapeared into the Void and hid from the sight of Hope, preferring to watch from the shadows as things developed as is typical for a Sylph of Void. She did not agree with the mentality of Hope, and much less liked the fake reality they made up for themselves and others in the face of loss. In her time lurking in the sidelines, She accidentally became great friends with Tanner. He was ultimately the reason she didn't fall completely to obscurity and changed her indiffrence in the face of the damage that Hope was causing, instead deciding to act against them.

Ketuna is pretty indifferent, and it might seem like she doesn't have likes or dislikes, but she does. She is fond of Disney princesses and fairy tales. while this is in some sense a way for her to fill the void in her personality, it is also just a thing she likes, it is most likely an influence from being made by Hope, as their whole deal is stories and make-belief. She types in light pink which is just a variation of thier blood colour. She doesn't have a favorite colour. The only music she listens to are disney musicals.

Ketuna's 'guest' is more of a 'goal'. she moves the plot from the shadows, she is herself not someone who is able to break the illusion, as she is ultimately also apart of it, but she does quide others to do what she herself isn't destined to complete. In the end letting make-belief go and facing the reality might be the end of her, but she has always been made of nothingness, so becoming one with the Void really isn't a change for her.
