Today with the new update of my iPad I found this new feature "time-lapse" I with my half stupid mind was like what the H... is this.. so I went to make some dumb arse faces and dream-countess said it looked like a demonic possession to which I responded " nope, it's a glitch in my meat-suit..." I just found it funny as I was walking by and recognising the designs. I thought I would play with the guy and ask if they were 'traditional viking' designs and watch him get tongue tied for a few moments trying to come up with an answer before I revealed I recognised where they were from. I think he was glad he didn't have to bullshit a good answer.
It was a pretty awesome day out and it was fun to meet all the people who sit throughout the day chatting to tourists and such, and explain about the lives and culture of people living over 800 years ago.
Plus they all take time out their busy lives to make awesome stuff like the shields, I also saw handmade jewelry, clothing, weapons, utensils etc all made with traditional methods.

They said that the swastika is now SOLELY associated with the Nazi regime but um, can I just say that NO it's not? It's still a sign used in religion to this day. Also, "heil Ceasar" was used for much longer and in a more wide spread area than "heil hitler" so yeah, as a historian I can say for a fact that there's nothing racist/anti-semitic or whatever else about your url. The one I went to is in Traverse City, Michigan. There are about 25 of them around the Eastern U.S. and I think that one is one of the oldest. The mini-golf is fantastic!
