after a while, somebody actually real does in fact come along.

they look frighteningly similar to his Bro.

dave didn’t realize when the dude came along until he was already there. he’d said his name was dirk.

dirk spent most of his time by himself. or he acted like he was spending his time doing something productive whenever dave was around.

he sewed things there were oddly similar to his Bro’s smuppets and bullshitted around on dave’s computer pretty often. but he didn’t question it because to be frank, whenever he saw dirk he felt like he was about to get his shit wrecked all over again.

dave didn’t know the guy, but sometimes he’d catch dirk just looking at him when he thought dave wasn’t paying attention. creepy. it made him want to leave altogether, or at least make dirk back the fuck off.

he of course didn’t hate the dude, dirk hadn’t directly done anything to him to impact him negatively. but he always felt Bro’s unnerving presence instead of dirks. he couldn’t help but feel frustrated.

that frustration eventually became a consistent feeling of dread. he wished dirk would just leave or maybe even just stayed where dave couldn’t see him. but that may be worse.

he distanced himself as much as possible, but dave could always still feel dirk lingering around nearby. couldn’t the dude get a hint?

dave was coming to the realization he sorta hates the guy.

they should have made up
