Cloud/walking off a cliff tbh
I’m a fan of all of these answers
You say in your tags on a recent post that there isn't a single Romance language that makes you promises. I must admit, with your interest in Russian, that Portuguese doesn't tick that box for you.
I'm more surprised that it's not tugging at me since I'm doing capoeira and trying to remember the names of the kicks. That's the sort of thing that supplanted Hindi in my affections. Maybe it's not guttural enough?
From Australia here, and the hi/bye on entering a room thing is definitely weird to me. If you were to do that here, you'd likely be seen as taking the piss.
From what I’m seeing, anglophone nations don’t really greet and say good bye constantly in general. Of course, like the last anon said, there will be some exceptions.
And what in the world does taking the piss mean? Taking A piss I understand (the literal meaning), but not with THE.
Yay for new idiomatic expressions!
I can't find anything on the googles about Capaldi denouncing Moffat's writing. Do you haz link, since I can't internet properly?
We know this from a friend overhearing a conversation between Doctor Who crew members at a convention. The word was that half way through the coming season, Moffat would be stepped down from running Doctor Who, as Capaldi didn't want to work with him. On top of how much the BBC hated the recent big specials, how terrible Moffat is at managing his time between his projects, it seemed pretty feasible that this gossip was the case.
I haven't seen the source denying that this is still happening though.

drbuttocks replied to your post “I-I want to sign up for a martial arts class or kind of wrestling...”
I would suggest that it largely depends on what you want to learn it for. Is it primarily self-defence, fun, or exercise?
it would be self-defense/fun! Exercise I'm already doing on my own with cardio and strength training but cardio is so boring :| I'm really into wrestling tho, playfighting kind of thing and I'd like to actually train to be better at fighting
Wait, you speak English?!? ;P
I know, right???? Who knew!
drbuttocks reblogged your post: New mouse I spoke of earlier.
those thumb buttons look awkward as fuck to use :/ But having 6 of them would be handy for dota
They're not awkward at all. There is a thumb-rest in the middle of the hexagon, and you just rotate your thumb and click with the ball or tip where required. It's outrageously useful.
