Twitter "drawparty" sketchdump (Friday)

I started having a little drawing “party” on twitter last friday. Wanted to flex my drawing muscles while having fun talking. On Saturday we were a bunch of artists “drawpartying” at the same time (posting those drawings in a sec). Was a lot of fun! Reminded me of the old oekaki/chat/opencanvas days…TvT)/ Why not come join me next time? And I’ll probably be asking for suggestions , so it’s a good time to get me to draw something you’d like to see me make. I should warrn beforehand that drawings/I can get a bit silly ;)

Planning to do it again this friday if nothing comes up. I’ll probably be starting drawing at 20.00 CEST (11 PDT / 13 CDT) (I’m amaistrawberri on twitter)

I still feel personally responsible for the mess of the Drawparty and how it dissolved into screaming and mess and people getting sick and everything else.

I had fun! I met Shelby and hung out with friends, gave away lots of prints, which was great.

But I know so many people weren't happy, some that even left in the first fifteen minutes because there were too many people or they heard screaming or got anxious and...

When Bri had a panic attack last year just looking at the Draw Party from a distance, I promised myself that this year would be different and it'd just be fun and happy drawing and exchanging and just... not drama and unhappiness or discomfort.

I never ever wanted there to be shouting; I tried to shout just the rules but I got flooded out and gave up just to go group-to-group to tell them what was up and even then I didn't get everyone. My heart sank every time I saw people leaving without smiles.

I just really want to apologize if you didn't have fun at the draw party, or worse, had a bad experience. I don't think I'll do an event like this again, it just really displayed my lack of leadership skills and assertiveness.
