DRAW! update #1 (and master post) I guess
DRAW! Is a card-slinging, deck building RPG where you make your own luck. Players create characters while the story is run by The House, who will guide the story, play NPCs, and adjudicate the winds of chance.
There are four suits:
♡Hearts represent charisma and people skills
♢Diamonds represent intelligence and proficiency with magic or tech
♠Spades represent speed, dexterity, and aggression
♣Clubs represent strength and constitution
When a player wishes to attempt something risky, they and the House (the GM) will decide what skill they are using. The player will then draw the top card of their deck and add any bonuses, and that will determine what happens.
A Draw can have advantage or disadvantage, meaning the player will draw two cards and use the better/worse one
Used cards will go into a discard pile, which will be shuffled back into your deck when the characters rest. If a character runs out of cards they will burn out and take a mandatory rest or go insane or something

Currently the main thing I'm looking for input on is a bonus that comes from drawing a card that matches the skill you were using. I'm considering just a set bonus like proficiency or doubling the rank of the card but that seems like too much.
