Silly Red Sheet | Archie and Elsa
All of her life, Elsa knew she was destined to be a superhero.
She didn't know when she'd discovered her calling, but it must have been some snowy day while she was building a snowman.  The wind and snow just seemed to obey her every will, and she must have thought to herself, What if I used this...to save people?
Ever since then, Elsa had gone out on the coldest nights, practicing the superpower she knew she had. Â Now, she couldn't just make snow or ice appear - or, at least, that's what her parents told her. Â But that's because they couldn't see it! Â They still tripped over it anyway, skidding across what they thought were just extra slippery floors and complaining about charlie horses in their legs or arms. Â When she said that all this proved it, they'd just rolled their eyes.
At some point, she'd overheard them talking about therapy and she'd immediately quit talking about it. Â Elsa decided to act like a normal girl around them - not quite as out there as her younger sister (a social butterfly if ever there was one) - but some manner of typical.
She'd kept practicing her powers in secret.
When her parents died, well, Elsa'd wanted to go out right then. Â She had her horrible backstory (an orphan, just like Bruce Wayne!) and even a possible sidekick (her sister, Anna!), but something told her she should wait.
Now, with Anna safely away in college, she was free.
Elsa sat in her little blue Oldsmobile, listening intently to the police radio. Â Within moments, there was a call - through static - about a robbery at a jewelry store just a few blocks away. Â She slipped a thin snowflake-shaped mask into place.
Three minutes later and Elsa was at the jewelry store. Â She stepped out of her car, like any normal person in light blue spandex might (it was uncomfortable, but all the other superheros wore it), and walked to the store, ignoring the strange looks in her direction. Â The police weren't here yet. Â Hopefully she'd be able to stop the perpetrators before anything else happened.
Besides - the people inside seemed scared.
Elsa murmured one word as she stepped through the door: "Freeze."
