Wishing each and everyone of you a very happy Haitian Flag Day! ππΉ Today, we acknowledge the men and women who fought selflessly to give us freedom and this beautiful flag which represent our pride. We are the Nation who disrupted the world by being the first free black republic, we forever carved our own history by leading the way for many others. We put an end to slavery and soon thereafter we became a land for other slaves to seek refuge. This day May 18, 2017 as we celebrate the 214th anniversary of the Haitian Flag, let us reflect on what it really means to be Haitian. While we will be waving our flags let us remember that we are the same nation in 1804 did what was at the time impossible.
