dramaticfanatic said: It was AGONY watching it in real time. Even though I still kind of knew it would have a happy ending because very few dramas of this kind don’t. Its like your brain tells you it will be okay like its the most obvious thing while your heart is like “NOOOOO FUCKFDASFDSALKFDSA NOOOO HE’S NOT GOING TO MAKE IT EVERYONE WILL DIE I WILL DIE!!!!!!!”
I can totally relate to that! My brain was just like “calm down, you already know they’re going to be okay” but my heart was like “but it’s so sad! *SOBS*”
dramaticfanatic said: ^Also, I agree with soymilkmocha. I can’t believe no one died in a MILITARY drama
soymilkmocha said: i hoped they’d die for real and make a nice melo
Lol you guys hoping they’d die for real! I always saw this as a romance drama with some military themes and not an actual military drama, so I’m super glad they all lived in the end. Although I do wish the fake death scene was moved to ep 16 instead. It would’ve made it more climactic.
Hey Audrey! Do you know where I can watch After the Show Ends? Is it on viki? I know it's a show within a show so are the releasing, half of the show on one day or something? I'm just super confused but really want to watch it. It looks different.
Unfortunately, I don’t know of any legal streaming sites that have the show, which is a shame, because it sounds interesting. I keep track of that kind of stuff on the individual entries on my drama calendar, for anyone who wants a handy reference. (Though I see you spotted that already.) I do run searches on the big two sites every week or so to see if they’ve licensed any new stuff, but so far, nothing. (Viki’s got a request form!)
From what I got from this DB article, the cast and crew are filming a show within a show. The (double fake?) drama is called Iron Lady, and it’s actually a full drama that will be aired online. After the Show Ends is the “reality” bit that’s supposed to be a mix of scripted stuff and vague notes for improv purposes. The “real” actors and crew who created Iron Lady end up getting into hijinks after the cameras stop rolling (and maybe even while the cameras roll?). They’re comparing the After the Show Ends part to mockumentary-style shows.
I’m with you–it sounds really confusing, but also really interesting. Here’s hoping someone will license it!
