Ratatoskr
On the world tree Yggdrasil the squirrel Ratatoskr runs up and down its branches, relaying messages from the wyrm at its roots, Níðhöggr, and the unnamed eagle perched atop it. He is attested only twice, once in the Grímnismál to describe his activities, and once in the Gylfaginning where it's added that he spreads 'slanderous gossip' that provokes the eagle and Níðhöggr. His name is also thought to translate to "drill tooth" or "tusk the traveler", though it is not certain. What his job may be or if he has some further symbolic meaning is unknown.
