Jacaerys has been gone a long time while staying at Winterfell with Lord Cregan Stark.
He thought you were still with team Green, unaware that you came over to dragon stone on the back of your dragon, returning to Rhaenyra.
So after he saw his mother, he walked down the stone halls to his own chambers.
He was quick to notice the door was slightly ajar.
Once inside he spotted you sitting down by the fireplace, his eyes widened at the sight.
“You’re.. here” he said as if in disbelief
You smiled as you stood up and opened your arms for him.
Jace paused before rushing over and pulling you into his arms. His arms wrapped around you tightly, not wanting to lose someone else right now, not you.
He melted from your warmth, a sudden contrast from the cold winters he has been experiencing.
“How was Winterfell?” You asked him
Jacaerys pulled away from the hug, but took your hand, guiding you to sit down again, while he sat on the other chair near yours.
His eyes had that eager look, he only got when excited to talk about something.
“Better than I could have ever imagined, the snow was thicker than they say, the winds wilder than words speak. Oh the wall, it’s taller than I thought.” He rambled on
You admired him like this, it’s been so long since you could just listen to him. It felt like a dream.
“So, the lord of Winterfell is a good man?” You raised a brow
“He is more than a good man. He is a gentleman, a friend, a brother, a leader and a true lord.” He smiled at the memories
You felt glad, keeping a note to repay Cregan someday for making Jace so happy.
Your hand reached out, gently touching his hair, the brown strands moved in such a soft manner between your fingers.
He grew quiet, enjoying the rare touch.
“I’ve missed you.” He spoke under his breath, yet loud enough for you to hear
You got off of the chair and stood right in front of him, touching his hair again. Loving the sight of him as he gazed up at you.
His hands gently grabbed onto your waist, pulling you closer to him.
“I’ve missed you as well, Jace.” You smiled, then leaned down and kissed his forehead
Jacaerys loved the feeling, his heart rate picking up.
He stood up and cupped your face.
“After this, I’ll take you to Winterfell. I know you will love it as much as I did.” He sighed
Your nod in agreement, made him smile in return.
Jacaerys leaned down, his thumb gently caressing your cheek, before he leaned in and pressed his lips onto yours.
The kiss was soft, warm, the type to fill your stomach with butterflies.
After he pulled away, he kissed your forehead in return for the kiss you gave him on his.
“Promise me, that you will be safe Jace. That I’ll never lose you. So you can take me there,” you spoke
He chuckled softly and moved some hair out of your face.
“I promise.” He said calmly then pulled you into his embrace
