Moss Agate, not really an Agate, but its a semi precious chalcedony quartz with non organic materials (oxidatied metallic minerals[my guess this is mostly iron from the color and location from where it was found]) found all over the world, this one probably came from a deposit from a glacier and polished by the waters of the waters of the ancient Lake Agassiz, since it was found on the former shores of that lake.
On the Mohs scale its between a 6.5 or 7 making it ideal for jewelery or worn as a Talisman.
On a more spiritual note, this is the Gardener's Stone. People from ancient civilizations carried this stone to promote agricultural fertility and a bountiful harvest.
In modern day spirituality its used as an ideal talisman for starting fresh in business, relationships, or personal ventures.
