Dr. Topper (phrasing!) or “Dr. T” as he prefers it is a Hammer Bro encountered in Bowser’s Keep during the end stretch of the game. You have the option of facing off against him or going through a series of platforming challenges or battle gauntlets. What could Dr. T possibly have to offer that’s equivalent to the challenge of running and jumping a lot or fighting a bunch of guys? Quizzes of course! He’s got a doctorate in making you think real hard and he’s not afraid to use it! Also a hammer, but I think that’s just for show.
Now that I think about it… he introduces himself as the “Quiz Master”, but most of his challenges aren’t quizzes at all! In fact, only one of them is! One out of six! Four of the other ones are logic puzzles and one of them is just a timed counting game. That’s not a quiz! I don’t know, Dr. T… I’m beginning to question the validity of your doctorate!
“How dare you! I spent six years studying for that! I won’t stand for this slander!”
