and then they wrestled <3
Hey, so, I wasn’t expecting “Doctor Bashir, I Presume?” to come after my childhood like that
I imagine that after the truth about Julian’s genetic engineering came to light, Sisko, noted fan of 20th Century American culture and certified Father Figure, gave Julian some old books. Comic books he called them, all of them about a character called Superman
Julian reads them all, absolutely fascinated by this little boy with incredible abilities who has to hide the truth about who he is and what he can do, who has to lie about everything every day and to live every moment exercising the utmost control over his physical strength and his mental acuity and even his reflexes. This little boy who grows up with an ever present fear of being found out, but who despite his fear grows up to become a man who helps people, both when he’s using his superpowers and when he isn’t. A man who is loved for who he is, in and outside of his superpowered identity
And if Sisko notices more Superman stories being downloaded to the stations databanks, he just quietly smiles

I recently started watching Deep Space 9. And I'm absolutely in love with it. I'm still on season 3, so I'm not that deep in it.
The relationship between Benjamin and his son Jake, is the most sweet and healing thing for me. I swear, with some of their scenes I cry. I wish I could have that kind of relationship with my mom.
My favourite character is Dr. Bashir. I have a crush on him but also he's also a character I relate to the most.
I just adore this show. Atleast so far.
I'm glad that people are still talking about Garak and Bashir, I go back and watch DS9 when I'm having a particularly bad emotional time, so I've re-watched the first couple of seasons again and again. I should probably keep going lol. Anyway, I go back to read 'Letters from the Northern Continent' by thehouden every once in a while, highly reccomend!

"Extreme Measures" (S07E23, Stardate 52645.7) delivers a cure for Odo, one last adventure for Miles & Julian and the last Section 31 story for DS9. The story was uneven and rushed, but buoyed by solid performances by Siddig and Meaney. I would have loved to see one last real showdown between Julian & Sloane
Julian and Miles are stuck searching for the cure to Odo's disease in the mind of Sloane in my episode poster. Kind of on the nose, but I like it.
