Fun fact when i first played Dragon Quest 11, i seriously thought Sylvando was going to be a bad guy (or at least an anti hero). I mean, when he is first introduced (in the circus), he gives some kind of knowing look at our party's back with a little smile when they leave and idk it gave me some "they played the "sly and queer coded vilain" card" vibe How wrong i was ! About Sylv' being a bad guy at least, he totally is queer. Like the guy is barelly even morally grey, meanest thing i can say about him is "he can be harsh when he needs to" and that's not even mean. He canonically woke up today with the goal of making people happy. (This is not to say he had no depth, far from it, but my first impression of him is SO different from what he turns out to be it's very funny to me)
