"Hello i’m Hudson. I’m a light hearted and comical weenie dog with an interesting color pattern. First I should tell you that Im mostly deaf and my vision is impaired (not totally blind) but that doesn’t change how sweet I am! What I lack in sight and hearing I make up for in affection and love. I’m do good on a leash and I LOVE to explore outside several times a day! I like to go for walks and sniff around. I always sit with/or on my people while they work, watch tv, or read and I sleep in the bed with my foster mom. I sleep all night usually on my back and i barely move! I hope you will let me do the same! Of course I can’t jump up there so she has to pick me up. She doesn’t mind because I’m a 19lb sweetheart!
I can’t do steps."
hi! i met a double merle at work today (doggie daycare), and was wondering: do double-merles have a higher risk of GI disease?
vet-and-wild here.
Not really. Double merles have issues related to their eyes and ears, but the link with other issues is not really established. The theory is that people that breed double merle dogs tend to be irresponsible breeders, so they're also not bothering to health test or carefully select their breeding stock. That leads to more disease/genetic issues. So it's not necessarily the merle gene, but just bad breeding in general.

I mean this in the most heart-filled-with-love way, but Goose looks like she only has a single brain cell bouncing around her skull like a windows screen saver. Please tell her I love her and would die for her
