for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States, the only hard requirement is two sponsors who have been members for more than a year. At least one of those should know you outside the internet and have met your dogs and seen your house if possible. The application has more questions, but answers can definitely vary without impacting your application. The club then puts your name out to membership and asks for both good and bad opinions before approving or denying your application.

What I’ve been told is that Day 21 post ovulation is when implantation occurs in dogs. Because new connections are forming in the uterus, blood supply is greater there and less in other parts of the body. A lot of long time dog breeders swear that on day 21, their pregnant girls have noticeably paler gums as compared to their gums before and after day 21. This test proved true for Thistle’s litter so we set out to test it again with Ponzi.
