@doriandandy: i don't know i have so many ideas already !!
doriandandy replied to your post “Okay, like obviously the ME:A facial animations are ridic, but I’m...”
at this point I'm just super curious to know what happened within the studio hierarchy/politics/whatever that caused this to happen?? like there was news that the game had development troubles for YEARS so there's no way that isn't related. but idk what specifically happened.. im just. so curious. and it could be a good warning for future projects and other studios, of what not to do
lol, i had similar feelings regarding the me3 endings, which i know is super old news at this point but honestly what I would not have given to be a fly on the wall back then given how...just WEIRD the whole situation was (was the indoctrination angle ever an intentional thing? Â WAS IT??? *shrieks*). Â
anyway, regardless it still seems like the ME team is having issues for whatever reason, this seems like it wasn’t really a priority project, that’s for sure.  i wonder if that’s just a result of the blow-back from ME3?  Like they don’t want to invest a lot in this return to the franchise after the last installment had such a hard time?  i’m sure that’s why Dragon Age suddenly became IMPORTANT to EA/Bioware when DA:O and DA2 were obviously low priority and low budget compared to ME.  they were trying to make up for a lot of bad press and appeal to a wider demographic (it worked, mostly).  you’d think what they would have taken away from the experience is “organize your projects better” but apparently not.
that said, having actually sat down and watched some gameplay of andromeda, I’m a lot less worried about the animations than i was, they’re still iffy here and there but not as atrocious people are making them out to be.  still, this plus all the delays, slow marketing, etc... it definitely betrays some internal problems.  i too hope that once the dust has settled someone comes out to talk about what exactly was going on...
doriandandy replied to your photo “>can’t paint worth of shit nowadays >time to start to do some...”
how do u feel about people reblogging your wips? because this is really pretty and i love it even if it's not finished *o*
yeah sure, go ahead if you want to! I post my wips because there’s 50/50 chance I never actually finish the pictures, so the wip may end up being the only version of the picture(s) lmaoÂ

Oh gosh, so many responses! Replies to D&D and roleplay stuff under the cut:
afookingpinecone said: I have a high elf wizard and she basically me but with a couple exaggerated traits, like she’s kind of a bitch lol! She’s my first character ever and I’ve found that she’s easy to play in a group of people I don’t know!
I hope that’s the case with me. I warm up a lot better around people I’m familiar with, so I can be pretty quiet around people whom I don’t know well yet. This is essentially my first character ever too, so I’m hoping I warm up to her pretty well. :)
doriandandy said: okay so i played a sorcer in dnd (3.5 and then 5e) and I definitely had the best charisma in the party, i couldve done all the negotiations in the party, but I NEVER DID instead our warrior who was the more or less leader of the party ended up doing most of it. and this basically just became a running joke in the campaign that actually always made things funnier? so like. if u like the class better, dont worry about HAVING to fit a certain role! just have fun!
doriandandy said: also imo sorcers > wizards bc you only have to pick ur spells on level-up, instead of EVERY SESSION… and as a very indecisive person this was a very good thing lmao
I don’t think I care particularly either way whether I’m a wizard or a sorceror, but the latter does fit better with a particular narrative I’m constructing for her backstory. Though that’s an excellent point about being indecisive with spells. So many of them sound awesome, and I think I might get anxious trying to pick spells for the right situations, lol.
biowearables said: Listen, if you can write Dorian fic you can fake charisma. ;) Just channel Dorian.
Haha, I thought about that. Her personality IS shaping out to be kind of Dorian-ish. The thing about writing, though, is that I’m able to think it through what he’s going to say. But maybe I’ll keep him in mind as a proverbial “spirit animal” for the character.
thessalian said: Also, keep in mind that if it comes down to actually having to use Charisma for something *other than magic*, if it matters to the plot I will let you make a Persuasion check with the dice. Maybe your tiefling only breaks out the silver tongue when it REALLY MATTERS and has no idea how she does it…
Oh, yes, I fully expect to be rolling dice for any particular persuasion or deception I might attempt. I’m just hoping my RP will be somewhat convincing, haha. But I also know that it’s something I’ll get better at with practice. Just me being neurotic! :)
warsonghold said: Truly, once you get going in D&D, the roleplaying comes. I have a neutral evil warlock who looks down her nose at people and makes a ton of snide comments, yet in reality I’m nothing like her! Have fun!
Wow, neutral evil! Is the rest of the party evil too? That sounds like it’d be fun! And yeah, I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it after a few sessions. I have a tendency to worry about everything, so this is par for the course.
cyansomnia said: It takes a short time to adjust to roleplaying in D&D. It might help to imagine your character as something you’re writing in your head, then say what you’re thinking. You get used to it after a while. ^u^
Yeah, it’s my first time, so it’s just like doing anything new for the first time. I think it’ll be easier when I find my character’s “voice”, y’know? Like when I’m writing, I have Dorian or Aeric or whoever else in my head and I hear them saying what they’re going to say. It takes me a while with writing, especially with original characters, so I figure my D&D character won’t be any different.
krshush said: I’ve ran into a similar issue playing a warlock as they use charisma too ;w; I would say it is hard sometimes, but it can be fun. Plus your character doesn’t have to Flaunt their charisma all the time. My boy Merit was going to be much more extroverted for example, but now that I have played him, he’s become more sit-back and watch and be smooth when a time presents itself.
That’s a good point, and I think that might be a similar tactic I’d like to take with my character. She wound up with a charisma of 20, though, so I kinda feel like I have some big shoes to fill, lol.
doriandandy
 princess-stabbity look i...
i miss school but i’m also not sure if i’m ready to go back or if id just have to fuckin withdraw again
i really Tried with an online course last year, but even that was like...NOOP, i cannot manage anything anymore, i did it once idk where i lost that skill
doriandandy
 doriandandy ...
but yeah im with you, i have lost my concentration skills to the depression void and idk if im ever gonna get them back
regarding the online courses i think i probably should have done on campus instead because it was basically a situation where i couldn’t make myself do it.  and like i thought it would be easier because i could do it from home, but it really didn’t work out that way.Â
yeah, like it blows my mind to think about the things i could handle once.  like just day to day shit like “wake up, go do school, brush teeth, manage homework, do makeup every day” and now it’s like...if i’m out of bed before noon it’s a big accomplishment and if i achiever a Chore during the day i have been doing especially well.
