We arrived very early to Champs Le Sims. We caught a taxi after we got our bags at the airport, the driver was a local who had lived here his whole life. He pointed out the top tourist activities and gave us a good review of the base camp we were staying in.
Once we got settled in, we decided to take a walk up the road to the art museum. It was very quiet there, most of the time Daniel and I were alone in the rooms with breath taking art pieces. Except when this picture was taken. Daniel gave his camera to a security gaurd and asked for him to take our picture. I was standing there with my arm around my man, smiling, all ready for a picture, but he surprised me with a dip kiss and the gaurd got the picture at the perfect time. 😍
We got back to the base camp at around 8pm, we had eaten crepes at a little cafe close to the art museum, so we werent all that hungry for the food that someone made there. We went out back and watched the stars for a little bit until Daniel spotted the fire pit. He lit a fire and we sat quietly around it for hours. We talked about our plans for the next day, we talked about books, we talked about our favourite parts of the day. We didn’t utter a word about Thiam or anything that would happen when we got home.
There was a tent in the back, we didn’t know if anybody owned it but it was empty so we went inside. That first night, we slept together for the first time since I got pregnant... 🎆
