Quite frankly, she influences a lot of my characters (Leona and Neri both partly owe their existence to her as well), and she’s been one of my favorite characters of all time since I first read The Book of Three. While the Disney wasn’t the most faithful of adaptations, they were faithful to the characters, and so I still recommend them (even if they left out a lot of the really good stuff in Black Cauldron).  Miss Duan (from Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons):

Granted, the Monkey King would also fit, but Shu Qi’s Miss Duan was perfection itself, and her fighting style is very close to Kit’s (I really want to add some rings sometime), and she was a wandering trickster and quite frankly absolutely fun. You really should watch both this and the sequel (Demons Strike Back) directed by Stephen Chow.
