The Canon Creators have planned and written these stories before releasing them, and although, yes, many times they have failed to give their creations justice, it is why the AUs exist, and why there are guardians to protect it.
Unlike Opal Ink, I can make an opinion, and in my opinion, Silent Salt should’ve been at least nonbinary… Or just make him a he/him genderqueer… Does he really have to be cis?
