Gregor is standing up for Don, which if I remember he originally wasn't the biggest fan of her (its been months, forgive my memory). After seeing her transforming, Gregor likely resonated with her. However, later in the checkup he mentions the volleyball

So they likely were at least friendly

Now why I say specifically them getting together after canto 7 but before the intervolo is because Greg again.

Actually answering, probably on the bus right after canto 7. Gregor probably listening to Don rambling and helping her feel better after anything. Don would be so busy rambling that she'd randomly slip out a comment about her liking Gregor while thanking him for standing up to outis. Insert wacky fanfic shenanigans.

Although I can definitely make a point for them being "hahaha no we arnt dating i swear we are just close friends who hold hands and do everything together" because they hang out a lot and group together
