I've also decided to reapply & expand the donation options in my shop. I'm not able to attend protests for a myriad of reasons, so this is how I can help! Every piece will have the option for 20% of the proceeds to go to one (1) of the following eleven organizations (apologies for any typos in the above image):

Seeing as Amazon is evil, I’ve decided to have only gift cards on there.  I can then spend the money elsewhere.  If you wanna give me a gift card, they’re all right here.  Ranging from $25 to $200. 

Right now I’d just rather see my quilts sell so I can apply the money to our move in July.  We’re definitely gonna need it.  If all of them sell it’ll cover over 75% of the moving costs.

We’ll need money for renting a moving truck (Penske or U-Haul), possibly hiring folks to help us load and unload the truck, a security deposit and first month’s rent on a new place, buying groceries for the new place, setting up utilities (because a lot of them require a security deposit), and a few other moving necessities.

Thankfully my parents have purchased and sent us packing boxes and packing material.  They’ve promised to buy more if 42 boxes aren’t enough.

We’re hoping to have help from a few of my husband’s coworkers for loading the truck.  One of them said he’d travel with us to our new place to help unload it.  I can’t do any of that work due to my health, but I can pack and unpack the boxes. 

It’s likely we’ll just get a two bedroom and put a bunch of stuff in storage if the two combined is less expensive than a larger place.  Our goal is to save money, pay off his student loans, and eventually buy a house.  Probably ten more years before owning a home is possible...if the planet is still habitable.
