You lift your head from where you're napping on your couch, startled awake by the shouting you can hear coming from next door and you groan. It's game night over at Shoresy's apartment and from the sounds of it, they're shouting about who's better at Mortal Kombat.

Yawning and shaking your head to dispel the lingering sleepiness, you sit up on your couch and stretch then rub your face to further wake up. You head to your kitchen and grab yourself a caffeinated can of soda, the can hissing and cracking when you pop the tab then you lift it and take a long drink of it.

Grabbing your phone and keys, you leave your apartment then go next door, knocking loudly on Shoresy's door. You hear the arguing get louder and you sigh, rolling your eyes so you try the doorknob, eyebrow raising when the door opens easily so you slip in.

"Y'know, if I were a serial killer, you shitheads would all be dead." you say and you snicker when they all jump like they've been tased and stare at you standing in the entryway.

"What the fuck? Knock!" Shoresy says.

"I did knock, you dingus. No one fuckin' answered. You all got louder." you reply.

"Well what?" Shoresy asks.

"You shits woke me up from my nap while arguing about who kicks whose ass at Mortal Kombat and I'm here to say if you're arguin about that, none of you fuckers are that great." you say.

"And you think you're better?"

"I learned to play that as a kid. So yeah, I'm pretty sure I know how good I am." You watch as Shoresy narrows his eyes at you, eyeing you suspiciously then he motions for you to come over. You cross the room then accept the controller from Goody then plop down on the floor in front of Hitch.

"Let's go." you say, grinning.

"What the fuck? You gotta be cheatin!" Shoresy huffs after you manage to hit Scorpion's fatality on Liu Kang.

"I'm not! You just suck." you giggle.

"Lemme try." Dolo says.

"G'head, bud." Shoresy says, passing him the controller.

You go back to the character select menu and instead of selecting Scorpion, you go for Kabal and watch as Dolo scrolls through the characters then selects Johnny Cage. He sets the arena to random and once it landed on the Shirai Ryu Fire Garden, the both of you listen to your characters give their pre-fight dialogue.

"You got this, Dolo." JJ says. You grin, shuffling backwards slightly then glance up at Hitch when you feel him lightly pat your shoulder.

"Ya got this." Hitch grins. Once you hear the word 'fight', you start immediately tapping away at the buttons on your remote, eyes locked onto the screen. You grin, hearing the guys trying to give out directions on what to do then they let out a yell when you have Kabal rush past Johnny, hooking him with his hookswords and swinging him in a circle before slinging him to the ground.

"The hell?" Shoresy says.

"Gotta be quicker than that." you giggle, rapidly hitting buttons and grinning as Kabal wails on Johnny.

"What the fuck?" Dolo says, eyes wide when he sees 'finish him' flash across the screen.

"Gotcha." you say in a singsong tone, hitting the buttons for one of Kabal's brutalities.

The guys watch the screen as Kabal slams his hookswords into Johnny's shoulders then with a swift yank, he rips Johnny's upper torso from his lower half, slinging his torso off to the other side of the screen and he spins his weapons before crossing them in front of his chest and Shao Khan's voice announces Kabal Wins! Brutality.

"Dude what the fuck?" Shoresy says, turning to stare at you wide eyed.
