I saw your post from a couple months ago mention pregnant doily-pons developing a doily on their stomach as their pregnancy progresses, and I wanted to ask a couple questions. 1. Should the unfortunate event of a miscarriage happen, would the doily simply start to fade before the pregnancy is expected to be over? 2. If a pony has twins, or goodness forbids more than such, is there a difference in doily? Like two, or a large one? That is all thanks for reading!
I haven't really thought about things in that regard, but I would think that losing a foal would be extremely rare thanks to the doily markings showing the process. It would probably start fading in and out and the parents would immediately seek medical attention. Since this is a fantasy setting, I would probably have magical means of dealing with such things so it would actually be rare, but if it were not addressed, it would fade out completely. Just for others to know, these themes will not be in the main story of the Doilypons and this is merely to add more lore if someone else needs it for their own doilypon's backstory.
For Twins or more, the doily will have "buds" coming from the main doily.
Here's a pic of Cue and Melaina's mom, Godiva, as reference! The main doily around the belly button is the overall process, the two buds coming from it are the number of children!
