I miss misbehaving dogs. You know how when a dog will sprint towards you and their owner would yell "Don't worry, they just want to play!" -? Hasn't happened to me in decade. I know a lot of people hate it, but I fucking loved it. Bonus if it got my clothes dirty. Unironic highlight of my day. I'm always up to play with a dog. Nowadays I don't even know if the dogs are well-trained or just inhibited and nervous. I tend more toward the second. Of course I also live in a different place, so maybe it's less a sign of the times than the fact that people are generally a bit more "polished" here.
Also dogs get poisoned here a lot by strangers. So there's that.

It's "Köter" and literally means "shitter". It can be used jokingly, but if someone called your dog a Köter you'd probably be offended.
