I used to think my dog licking me nonstop was just one of his weird little habits. Like he’d go for my hands, my arms, sometimes even my face the second I sat down anywhere. 

I used to think my dog howling meant something was seriously wrong, but honestly sometimes it’s just him being him.

I used to get sooo embarrassed whenever my dog started humping out of nowhere at first I kept thinking it meant he was aggressive or trying to “dominate” everything.

If you’re a dog parent, you’ve probably wished (more than once) that your pup could just tell you what they want. Instead, we end up playing the same game of charades: pacing by the door, whining, giving you that intense stare. And there you are asking, “Do you need to go out? Hungry? Just bored?”

Bear has his own way of letting me know when it’s time for a refill — even if there’s still food in the bowl.

Forget barking. Forget staring.
