I am of course aware that there is a copious amount of graph, grid and lined paper available. Both printable and printed. I know it’s there, I’ve downloaded/purchased various styles and amounts over the years.
But…..I still find myself sitting down and designing more and more.
In different colours depending on what paper I have on hand and what colours I’m liking/purpose. Blue is a favourite at the moment, on sand coloured paper, but indigo is also lovely.
different sizes - a4, a5, a6, 2cm grids, 5mm grids, 1” grids, 1cm grid with different coloured centre lines.
lines paper of course - landscape, portrait, 8mm gap, double lined or ruled, fun boxes or areas
different combinations - grid and lined, grid and blank, grid with center lines, grid with title & date space ( top, bottom, side, centre)
I'm still working in a dot grid design that I can change the colour of the dots.
quilting design paper - hexagons (unsuccessfully - I ended up buying isometric graph paper), half triangle so that the square is blue and the 2 sets diagonal lines are this lovely shade of gray so I can colour in and design my own layouts.
Tablet weaving grids - that one was interesting since I wanted to be able to colour in the twist directions as well, ended up going with 3 colours but I think my next version might be different line styles maybe?
layouts - planners, calendars, contents & index pages, project slips, project planning documents, hibernation box slips & box labels (I’m actually really pleased with these, very helpful when putting a project away), inventory, maintenance logs, Getting Things Done, trackers
I think I just really like making documents. I’ll make one for basically anything, even if I never use it. Forms, templates, brochures, bookmarks (I really love bookmarks, especially data collection ones).
And my organisation is terrible, I originally put it all away based on the craft activity. And then ended up making the same thing but for a different craft. I realised that a lot could be used interchangeably, so then i started saving it in a folder labeled printables. Which was subdivided into my printables and other peoples (free downloads and purchased, thanks Nik the Booksmith). But that’s not sustainable long term.
I need to put some thought into cataloguing and organisation.
Oooo major project!!!! And I could make myself a prortfolio or something so I can see what they all look like printed etc.
also this whole thing occurred to be because I was making my own half triangle quilt layout cards (lol) and wanted a new grid paper to play with.

I have a Book of Shadows template in the works and I’ll be posting more about that very soon!!!! I’ll be releasing that via Etsy, so if you are interested keep an eye out at my Etsy!!
I’m also in the very early stages of creating Pagan-centric art prints. At first I’ll only be offering downloadable prints, but if things pick up, I’ll consider selling actual prints on actual material as well.
Here’s a sneak peek of my Book of Shadows templates:
(OMG these are SO low quality in PNG format... I swear they are actually so much prettier in PDF!)

Professional Techniques to Enhance Your Word Documents
Creating high-impact Word Documents requires more than just typing text. Executives and leaders must focus on both structure and clarity. Begin by establishing consistent Formatting: uniform fonts, spacing, headings, and subheadings guide readers and make complex information digestible. Incorporate bullet points, tables, and charts to present data efficiently.
Optimizing large documents ensures smooth navigation and accessibility. Break content into sections, compress images, and maintain clear headers for effortless reference. A well-crafted Table of Contents not only enhances usability but signals attention to detail.
Visual design is equally important. Consistent colour schemes, professional templates, and thoughtfully resized images elevate the document’s credibility.

This is a collage poem I found by a poet named Josephine Corcoran. This collage reminds me of the DIY element of the physical zines we created for our final project. In this poem, Josephine depicts the slanted nature of politics by cutting out the words and placing them diagonally. This choice in design and alignment, along with the personal objects belonging to the poet and the natural elements like the flowers, creates a dynamic world that works together to create meaning from elements that would mean less on their own. I also love the visual element where the words are cut out on pointed pieces of paper, showing that the truth cuts like a dagger. Everything is placed with a reason, and it's clear to see that the subject, Trump, is the subject of the poem because he is the largest underlying image in the poem.

This is an example of a more professional zine done in a unique and highly artistic style. Titled "Plastik Comb" by Thomas Schostok and Aaron Beebe, I chose this zine due to its rebellion from the convention of many other documents, such as using grids and relying heavily on text to further the document's message. The co-author of this zine and the creator of the cult 90s PDF magazine "Beast," Thomas Schostok, discusses his design choices further:
"This is a magazine about contemporary art with an unusual layout. Plastik Comb was designed according to the style of the featured artist. Images and the text form a graphic fusion, and each spread is more a piece of art than a common, magazine-style layout. Each page stands for itself and could just as well be framed on the wall. The layouts are reminiscent of the renowned magazines of the 1990s, such as Raygun, Speak, or BlahBlahBlah. The basic idea is to create something completely new with every page and every issue, and not to stick to the usual conventions and grids. Plastik Comb is independent and is produced and distributed by artists. It does not depend on selling well and is therefore not subject to any economic rules, which often dictate the content and type of presentation.”
This resume template has both effective and ineffective features—but I think that it is more effective. I really like the vertical line with the in-lay bullets for the work experience section. In addition, each section has a heading that holds considerable weight and contrast, and the document is aligned very effectively. I find the use of icons for the contact information interesting. I would remove the photo enclosure, however.
