The world is fracturing...

The Sword Coast is a land of magic and mystery, home to ancient cities, powerful factions, and legendary adventurers. For centuries, the realm has thrived with the aid of powerful arcane forces flowing beneath the surface: an invisible web of energy known as the leylines. These leylines are the veins of the world's magic, powering spells, holding reality together, and connecting distant places through a delicate balance.

But something has gone wrong.

The leylines are breaking, fracturing in ways that no one fully understands. Magic is behaving unpredictably. Portals to other planes of existence are opening in once quiet villages. Arcane storms swirl above cities. People whisper of an ancient melody, a song echoing through the magic itself. Amidst this chaos, a mysterious group known as the Cult of the Last Song is working to reshape the world through a blend of music and magic. In public, they appear as the Silver Chord Society, a troupe of wandering artists, musicians, and scholars. But in secret? Their performances tap into the broken leylines, bending reality to their will. In response, new alliances have begun to form. A circle of druids gathers around a granite table, sensing the imbalance in nature. Armored knights ready their weapons, guarding against what may come. Scholars chase forbidden knowledge, while masked performers sing songs they don't fully understand and bend the world around them in new and dangerous ways. You are but one of many swept into this growing tide.

The world has been swallowed by an alien-made dungeon, a living labyrinth that stretches floor after floor into the dark. Humanity’s only path forward is down, each level filled with monsters, traps, and challenges designed to break the strongest and devour the weak.

Start as a human. Fight, crawl, and claw your way through the unknown. Some will rise. Some will fall. All will play.

Into the Dungeon will be a stat driven role-play where the site-wide plot will move forward quarterly, with characters progressing through the dungeon’s levels as we do so. Characters can die permanently if you choose, and new characters can join in on whatever floor we are on. Although it is heavily influenced by Dungeon Crawler Carl, there are no canon characters, original creations only. We use a profile application with built-in tracker fields and a multi-filter member directory. Content up to a 3-3-3 rating is welcome.
