ā¢As the series confines though, he finds himself wondering about the story and looks into theories on future games. He finds it confusing, feeling like if it was his game, he'd do things a bit differently, but at the same time wouldn't change too much.

ā¢He seems like he'd be a fan of the different versions of Freddy and spring trap.

ā¢While not working in a case, he finds out about the games after they came out. He heard about the hype so out if curiosity, he would check them out.
ā¢I think it would be amusing that he surprisingly is pretty good at the game.
ā¢Probably dies a lot a first when figuring the game out, like most people, but was quick to learn from his mistakes to avoid dying.
ā¢He builds a strategy to get through it, and once he knows what he's doing I see him doing pretty well.
ā¢Barely reacts to the jumpscares/death screens. Just seems more dissappointed and slightly annoyed he has to restart the night.
ā¢At first doesn't care too much about the story, still doesn't really, but it does seem interesting. Probably has his own theories and such but keeps them to himself.
ā¢Wishes there was a game where he has to figure out who the purple guy was or something, feeling like that would be more interesting yet probably easy.
ā¢Doesn't have a favorite character or anything, but he did think Bonnie and his variations were cool. Also thinks the marionette is interesting.

ā¢He definitely didn't trust them at first, keeping them at a safe distance yet made sure they were watched most of the time.
ā¢The last thing he wanted was to fall into Kira's trap, but was honestly surprised that they wanted to work with them.
ā¢He doesn't trust them for a while, they'd have to build up their trust and prove to him multiple times that they weren't planning anything else.
ā¢He's very forward when it comes to his distrust and it's easily seen, but when he begins to actually trust them that's also pretty obvious.
ā¢If the reader has done any of the killing themselves, he won't let them get away with it and will most likely try to figure out some sort of punishment in general. Thinking it was only fair if they broke the law like that.
ā¢He does find them as very useful though with their death note and eye ability, but took the death note and holds it in a place where it will be protected and observed.
ā¢Since they are working for/with him, he would ask them for them to assist with their eyes abilities when it came to him wanting to know the names of someone. Yet he wouldn't use it too much, rather using his own things to get the answers they need. But if Light/Kira was playing dirty, he'd act similarly but would never want to stoop to his level.
ā¢The more y/n works with Near though, the more he finds himself enjoying their company to his own surprise. Soon enough trusting them on a similar level of Halle and the other members of the SPK, maybe even more depending on the relationship Near gains with them.
ā¢An unlikely partnership but he would reassure them that he was thankful for their effort and work on his team.
ā¢He'd offer them a position in the SPK even after the Kira case is over.

ā¢He REALLY didn't trust them at first, automatically seeing them as a threat after hearing they used to work for Kira.
ā¢Thinks they have some hidden motive and decides to try to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't try any funny business.
ā¢He takes the death note from them one way or another, not trusting them to have it on them even if they don't use it.
ā¢Similar to how Near, he tries to learn as much as he can about the nite as well as the eye abilities. Trying to do whatever he can to get to Kira before Near can.
ā¢Is quick to realize how beneficial Y/N is to the case, keeping them close as they work out whatever they can to solve the case.
ā¢May seem a bit cold towards them for the most part with his attitude, but as the reader and them get close it's obvious that he's thankful for everything they've done to help them.
ā¢Becomes protective of them, not wanting them to do anything too dangerous with the excuse of 'we need their eyes' but it's easy to see there is something else behind those words. He actually cares!
ā¢So it will start out pretty tense and on edge for the most part but over time he will probably get close to them, and if he survives his risky plans and the Kira case, he will keep them around. Whether with the eyes or not.

Mello is someone whoās always been trying to prove himself worthy, mostly it being Lās successor but after meeting his crush he felt like this was something he also had to fight for in a way. Heās just the type where he feels like no one would just go to him unless he does something special, mainly because of the looming sense of being the second best to most things.
He doesnāt try to make a big deal out of it though. He just tries to strategize for the most part, so most of his work is happening in his head. Most likely arguing with himself a lot mentally on what he should do.Ā
Depending on the situation though, it varies how he tries to impress them
If they happen to know or are around Near, Mello does whatever he can to try to take the upper hand in keeping your attention. Near most likely just doesnāt care altogether, so it wonāt be too hard to distract his crush from his rival

Mello seems like someone who would initially scoff and roll his eyes when it comes to most things romance wise. He just never saw the point in things like cheesy first dates growing up and thought heād never be the type to indulge in that sort of thing in general. When meeting his lover though, his thoughts on the topic began to change.Ā
He wouldnāt be the one to bring it up, it would be his S/O whoād just bring it up in topic generally. They were already dating and together most of the time, but havenāt officially gone on any type of dates.Ā
