DmC WIP
DMC "fans" can't stand anything that dares to disrupt their precious status quo. That's why they're all a bunch of toxic tar pits shrieking and crying whenever anything different comes around.
Devil May Cry has been through some interesting peaks and valleys since it's inception in 2001.
I would like to say that things were better before, but I remember the Nero hate of 08.
You do raise a great point though. The fandom acts very entitled to a narrow view of what the franchise is allowed to be.
I appreciate fans of DmC and the Netflix show because they engage with the franchise with passion instead of repeating the same vitriol and jokes over and over again.
