When Letho says that he thinks women should be in charge, he’s not being facetious or anything– he actually does believe they make better rulers. 

This is in part owing to the fact that he was raised by his adoptive sisters, and although he doesn’t remember their voices or faces– and sometimes he’s not sure he remembers their names correctly either– he remembers how brave they were. How capable and clever and resourceful. He also remembers that they were kind and compassionate, enough so to take in an orphaned baby when the oldest of them was not even a teenager yet. And while he remembers all this, he also recalls how the men in his life when he was still a child (senior witchers, the head of the Viper school, any semblance of a father figure he might have had) had been nothing but cruel. Some plain cruel, while others were also utterly incompetent.
