No Skool Like the Old Skool by Moby
DJ DB

The Secret Art of Science
My #throwbackthursday is the soundtrack to driving from the South Shore of Boston in the Hoth of winter to my part time job at the big bad nightclub across the street from the shuddered baseball stadium. The Secret Art of Science- DJ DB My friend, who was way more into ragga and hardcore and probably techstep used to call this jazzy, less aggressive sub-subgenre "champagne-and-coke-step." You know what? I'll take it over "intelligent dnb." This still has one of my favorite transitions of all time; one of those ones where I can't hear one song without ascribing the other to it (does that even happen anymore/kids these days/get off my lawn) : Bukem's "Music" into Klute's "Chicks." Two titles with two of my core values. Approve.
Saturday May 5th it's poppin off at Open House for DB's birthday! Wonder and our extended fam DJ Parler will be doing guest sets. 244 E. Houston between avenue A & B. WOOP!
