The Dreaded DJ Bio
It strikes me as strange that in a world where your presence is known so well that you would still need to have a resume to get your foot in the door. Those who have been DJing from club to club should only have to say where they have worked before for respect – why do they need a laundry list of things to tell their new potential employers? Still, if you are the king of throwing and spinning at parties, there is some sense of professionalism that needs to be had when the business rules are laid out. If you are a newer DJ, perhaps you need to do some more convincing – but if you have been in the game for a while your resume doesn’t need to be as polished as you think. A DJ should have at least two different resumes, each of them tailored for a specific occasion. Your online stats should be self-explanatory, complete with a list of fans and places you have been. Besides pandering and begging for friends’ requests and likes, it would make much more sense to use your content to boost your “ego”. Any good employer should be able to spot a real resume over a fluffed resumed. http://www.djtechtools.com/2014/08/17/the-dreaded-dj-bio-six-tips-to-make-a-good-one/
