A big thing that annoys me about some DJ ideologies is this belief that only certain songs will mix. I'll give credit to the belief that some songs are harder to mix together than others, or harder to mix from one to the other, but the task certainly isn't impossible. In my opinion, anyone who says two songs can't mix simply hasn't figured out how to do it yet, and their inefficiency as a DJ is showing. I'm not trying to say it's easy. I'm not pretending that mixing Strawberry Fields with Rubber Johnny is a cake walk. What I am saying is that the ability to mix makes a DJ good, and the ability to mix The Beatles with Aphex Twin is what turns a good DJ into a God of the dance floor.
