Anyway, brief discussion of Alium.
Alium is the name of an alternate dimension connected to "our world," which the Alii called Ceteri. A portal connects the two worlds that was created via the two universes colliding. Alium's laws of physics allowed their universe to remain unharmed, but certain things would leak into Ceteri or vice versa, and Ceteri overtime would've deteriorated and Alium along with it. To protect the two verses, Alii were able to use their powers to create a pocket dimension dubbed "the Gateway" to act as a buffer. The Gateway appears as an endless field. Ceters are unable to enter the Gateway due to the contrasting laws of physics. Alii can.
The portal when activated causes all light to break down and distort the reality among those who activated it. This appears in the form of seemingly millions of colors swirling around the activator. The person then falls through a "rainbow tunnel" before appearing in the other dimension.
As mentioned, Alii have powers (the glowing arm was the best I could do to represent this). Short version is there are 20 in total ranked by rarity. Each power has its own subpowers and science backing.
Speaking of science and powers, Alium has advanced technology such as hovercrafts for most families.
The plants are very vibrant and colorful. Picture doesn't do it justice. Unnatural leaf colors all year around, purple is very common, there are different patterns on the bark, etc.
